About Big Bald Rock:
| Big Bald Rock is a good size granitic dome that is sprinkled with boulders of all different sizes. There are a few bolted routes but the bouldering opportunities available here is the real reason to make the trip. The rock is pretty rough so be prepared to rough your hands up a little bit. |

| Directions: | Take the Oroville Quincy Hwy (CA Hwy 162) heading East from Oroville. Travel roughly 17 miles and then turn right on Bald Rock Rd. Go another 7.3 miles and the entrance to the parking area will be on the left. When you can see the rock from the road you are almost there. |

| Access Issues: | Big Bald Rock lies inside Plumas National forest so it is open to all but may not be accessible during winter months due to snow. Camping is allowed but there is no developed campground so just find a nice spot out on the rock, and please try to leave the area cleaner than you found it. |
