This 2 pitch variation of Consolation branches off at the beginning of the Consolation dihedral at the end of the first pitch.
P1: From the P1 Consolation belay, climb up and right into the left-facing corner that lies just right of the Consolation corner. Climb the beautiful hand crack in the corner to where the corner splits. Initially step into the lower, left-hand corner, but immediately transition to the upper, smaller corner that leads to a small roof (continuing up the lower corner leads to a dead end). Surmount the roof (10a) and head up and right to the big sloping ledge.
P2: Takes the thinner crack that begins about 10 feet above the ledge. Face climb to the crack, then pull over the bulge on bad jams (10a) to a shallow, left slanting finger crack (5.9+). Follow that 15 feet to join Consolation. Pass another roof on Consolation (5.9) before reaching the next belay.
This route doesn't see much traffic and is filled with lichen and a little choss, but is otherwise a fun couple of pitches. Climb and protect carefully.

Went way off route, staying in the lower corner on the first pitch. Had to downclimb 40 feet, then figure out how the heck to get into the other corner. Was worked by the time I got to the crux and hung :( Followed Stefan's lead up P2 w/ no problem.
