About Cosumnes River Gorge:

This area is great for all ranges of climbers from first-timers to the very experienced. The parking side of the gorge has the majority of the routes and are about 40ft or less. The far side of the gorge has several dirty, but still fun multi-pitch routes. If its gonna be warm when you visit, then bring your swimming suit (or not if you dare), as there's a plethora of swimming holes all the way down the gorge. It's definitely worth taking the time to explore the interesting features that have formed in this canyon, including water falls and underwater caves. The water can be very dangerous when it's flowing fast (people have died here before), so be careful.
