As well as the boulder traverse to Straight Lines out of the Susan Forever cave, there are a couple of other bouldering problems in the Susan Forever cave. 1) sit start in the cave and stem, thrash out until you hang off the chockstone at the lip. Drop off. Burly 5.11. stemming until you can't stand it anymore makes it doable. 2) sit start in the cave, head out right but instead of going into Straight Lines, go up over the roof via a burly crimp to a sickle ledge above the roof (barely visible), where you can crimp with both hands before dropping off. another burly 5.11. pad is nice but be careful to stay in control on these and aim well when dropping off, since the distinct possibility exists you will pitch into the river after hitting the rock bench below these problems. you'd be hurtin' before you drown.

Descent Options:

drop careful and stay in control

4 out of 5 stars bouldering in cave

bouldered Susan Forever to chockstone. Tough going.
The route out to the chockstone was worked out by Don Garrett in the 70s. The route to the Sickle Ledge was worked out by Bob Branscomb in the 80s.
These two problems require control so you don't incure serious injury.
