Holcomb classic route... me, not so classic
ran out of fuel and departed from my usual speedy ascent. a shot of gu helped give me just enough energy to get me 1/2 way up the wall, but felt weak again, and gave up on leading this clean (or fully).
This is the first time this climb felt like an actual 10a.

Holcomb classic, part II
Return after nearly a year to lead this bad boy... just as I recalled, slightly overhung, sustained fun route with jug holds and perfectly spaced protection. Every clip has a stable stance to be found, so don't get too eager to clip overhead before finding a stable position.

Pumpy but perfectly sustainable classic route. slightly overhung with juggy holds all the way up the route. Perfectly spaced protection, could have been an easy lead, but skipped in the interest of time.
Technically only a 5.9, but because of its pumpy nature, probably could get away with a 5.10a rating (still think it's sugar-bagged, but as are most Holcomb climbs).
