Good climbing close to town.
Approach: The dirt road mentioned in the guidebook no longer dead ends near School Rock, but continues uphill in two branches further on. Stop at the mileage mark according to guidebook and park along the road. School Rock is the biggest formation on the hilltop to the left. Its broad west face (where all existing routes are on) is visible from the dirt road below.
