Description:
On March 18th, one day prior to the 2010 Mt. Woodson Shindig , Chris Lindner onsighted a sit-start to I Hear My Train A Comin': "Sure, we can warm up on My Train," said Chris casually after I mentioned that I was working on the ground start. The TR was set, harnesses were donned and a couple of laps were made when Chris asked, " Anyone ever do a sit start to this? "Not that I know of. Maybe some freak of nature will figure it out one day!" I said doubtfully. What I didn't forsee was Chris, while already sitting under the problem, was briefly provisioning the potential holds and sequence. Without saying a word he quickly sucked up under the overhang, dropped a knee nearly to the ground, reached powerfully out to the original starting holds and floated up to the ledge above. "You might get that pad. I just realized I'm getting a little up there," he finally spoke his first words of concern before he highballed to the 32' topout. Chris just sent me a text, "It's a little harder with the sit, maybe 12a/b?" Come on Chris, what's it really rated?!Descent Options:
