About Painted Boulder area:

Where the road levels off and makes a hairpin turn at Robbins' Crack, there is a rounded boulder on the left side of the road which has a prominent white paint streak down its north side. This is Painted Boulder. TR face routes to 5.12 (#23 in Mt. Woodson Guide).
