About Snake Pit:

This is really a large exposed boulder looking area on the back side of the mountain as you drive towards it up the road. It has a very nice crack right in the middle within a dihedral, that makes a great beginners trad lead. On either side of that are two very clean faces that have a couple of nice potential routes on both. The top of the area has plenty of good cracks and boulders for slinging to set up a rappel and top ropes.
Approach: Approach is the same as Turkey's nest except you keep going on the trail. Once you reach the top you will find yourself on the back side of the hill, the trail will drop down, become very narrow, and passes right over the top of the area which will be on the left. To the right are all of the boulders and cracks, you can build an anchor here for the top rope and rap down or scramble through the bushes on the left side (as you look up from the base) to reach the base.
