About Black Overhang:

The prominent black overhang visible on the eastern hillside just south of the Silvertree Camp. Not to be confused with the chossy, loose buttress with trees on top just to the north (which is not worth climbing).
Approach: Approach from the hillside that traverses the eastern hillside - it passes right past the top of the outcorp.
Approach Time: 5mins

Access Issues: Access to the bottom is a little tricky. The best way down from the top is to carefully downclimb the buttress to skiers right (right, facing out). Further right again is a steep, narrow dirt gully / track that can also be descended, but it's pretty sketchy. Once down, watch out for poison oak - it's rampant around the base.

Type of Climbing: Top Rope
