About Pine Canyon - The Pulpit:

The Pulpit is a small spire that lies just below the Pagoda and reaches heights of about 90ft. The Pulpit is easily identified by a crack that runs about 25ft to its small top. You can scramble up the back to set up a top rope or scramble down to avoid a rappel.
Approach: Walk up the small washout/creek (if you can find it) to the base. This approach is located just below the Pagoda and Rock of Ages off the main trail. Its a bit hard to find but much faster.

Access Issues: Pine Canyon has a vountary closure to climbing from February 1st to June 30th for raptor nesting. Failure to obey the closure can cause a full year round closure.
