Table rock is the 300 ft cliff you see on the right when driving up the road. It has numerous bolted routes. At least 3 of these go from bottom to top. There are also more than a few bolted lines that don't go anyplace.
I've read this is the largest cliff in the Bay Area. It is not the largest rock cliff, because this precipice is not rock, as climbers normally understand rock. Hand holds are usually solid--crimps jugs and pebble pulling. They are occasionally reinforced. Footholds constantly change and crumble somewhat. Because of this, initial forays are insecure and frightening.
All that said, the setting is fantastic, and the climbs are great fun. Climbing at table rock is a unique experience and should be sampled.
