Once a flophouse for traveling climbers worldwide, the location of Santa Barbara's famouse "Castle" has changed a few times, with each incantation growing more and more upscale and less and less accessable. Once it feature more than 600 sq ft of climbing structures at every angle with nightly sessions. Currently, it is one wall at the home of Phil Requist. The nightly sessions are now down to once a week. It's also of note that the size of the holds has dwindled with the surrounds. So if you're not doing anything Tuedays nights, Phil will be training and his garage door open. The only caveat, if you can't climb V5 there's precious little chance you'll make it up the wall.
