About The Amphetheatre:

Shady canyon that contains some of the hardest routes on the central coast. Short, sequential powerful routes are to be expected.
Approach: From the entrance of the Playground, trend left along the large boulders until a view opens up on your left. Move down and left and find a trail the borders rocks on your right. Just after a rocky slot with a faint trail through yuccas (dog variation) on the right, branch left and meander down some boulders looking for a ramp that leads down into a canyon. Across from this ramp is Showboat, a 3-bolt 11+, the first route in the Amphetheatre.
