This is a backcountry area with immense possibilities. There are numerous bouldering areas and alpine climbs in the area. Early season ice climbing in the chutes above Devil's Punchbowl are a possibility. A 600 foot long route has been done on Peak 11,998 (1.7 S of Red Mtn) rated II, 5.7, A2.
