About Great Western Divide:
| The Great Western Divide is reached from the trailheads in Mineral King. Most of the climbs require about a one-two day hike to reach, but it is well worth it! The spectacular alpine nature of this area reminds a lot of people of the Alps. This could be divided into different areas but since Mineral King is the main access point it is simpler to keep it as one big area. |

| Directions: | Drive up Hwy. 198 from Visalia towards Sequoia National Park. Before reaching the park boundary, turn right(south) in the town of Three Rivers onto Mineral King Road. The trails start up in three different directions from this point at over 7000 ft. |
