Storm Warning Wall
About Storm Warning Wall:
| The Storm Warning Area lies 100 yards right of the Beginners Area. The rock is generally dirtier than other areas at Tollhouse Rock, yet several high quality climbs are found here. Several climbs were established here in 1985 and suffered significant damage from rocks and debris dropped by wild partiers from the Hang Glider Launch Area above. In the early 90s the original ascentionists returned and repaired the damage and realigned some of the lines. Current guidebooks show about half of the routes with the old bolt locations that have been changed, causing a bit of confusion identifying the climbs in this area. |
| Approach: | From the base of the Beginners Slab contour right for a about 100 yards to the base of the slab. Most climbs start from ground, but for a 3rd class ledge leading in from the left (50 feet up) provides access to the two bolt anchor that serves Steel Breeze (5.7), Storm Warning (5.10c) and Backdraft (5.8). |
