Description:
Left of serenity crack. P1 - 4th class w/ 1 move of 5.7. P2 - 5.7, P3 - 5.7, P4 - 5.8, P5 - 5.9. .. The climb begins up a dirty corner up to a large ledge and 3 bolts. Then continues up a small crack across a friction face, to a tight hands crack, up a corner to a tree. From here you go left across a ledge to a series of large flakes (only use for the 4" and 3.5" cams). Climb up the flakes, moving left up to the 3 bolts. (hanging belays from here on up). Pitch 4 continues up the flake/crack system with some great laybacking and jamming up to a small roof underneath the next belay the roof takes a .75 camalot to protect and the moves are great. The last pitch continues up the crack / flake system to a tight hands crack (5.9) and then finally after the crack goes left to the 3 bolt belay. Rap directly down the last 3 pitches, then down to a tree and finally to the ground with 2 ropes. THIS CLIMB IS IN THE RHOMBUS WALL PEREGRINE CLOSURE AREA AND IS CLOSED TO CLIMBING JAN-AUGUST.

Crowds
3 Other parties were on this climb while we were on it, but it was still an awesome route! We free soloed the first pitch and I got to lead/combine pitch 3/4. It was an amazing climb from pitch 3 to the top with perfect cracks all the way up! An easy 5.9 with the crux just being the last 10 feet or so.

.
a lot of wandering for a so-so route... pitch 2 was soaking, even in October. Pitch 3 was pretty cool, 4 too, pitch 5 just had 30 feet of stellar climbing. Felt soft compared to just about every other valley 5.9, maybe I just am better at that size? Still, worth the trip, but maybe not the crowds (took us 3 times to climb it because of a long queue).

good line
The overhang on pitch two is considerably harder when it has water flowing.
The three upper pitches have excellent crack moves.

good time
fun route, good day in the sun. Don't get stuck behind slow parties! We lost almost 2 hours to the couple in front of us! The pitches above the tree belay are rad, and I wish the .75 section on the last pitch was three times longer! So good!
