About The Quarry:

A Great scenic climbing area above the old water tanks, near the the old rock quarry, where they blasted rock for the dam.
Approach: Park on Main Street at the bottom of the hill, before the dam in front of the row of houses. From there follow the driveway just after the second house up past a horse stable, continue past the water tanks following the road to the right where you will have to jump over a green cattle fence. I spoke with a ranger who stated that this is perfectly legal as the fence was there to to keep stock in not to keep people out. After you clear the fence scramble up the rocks on your right this will tale you up to an open area where you will see the rock face. If you have questions just ask the rangers how to get to the quarry behind the water tanks and they should be able to help you out.
