| Approach: | Park in the day use parking lot if you plan on just a day trip. Begin your approach at the dam. Hike from the dam through the tunnel and out to Wapama falls which is where Wapama Rock is. This rock Look identical to El cal and is itching to be climbed. |

| Access Issues: | Since 911 Hetch Hetchy has become a national security area, which made access limited. Recently it seems as if things are calming down as far as restrictions. There is still no front country camping, but you can get a wilderness permit and camp on the wall.***Make sure you get a permit, THERE FREE and they issue them at the entrance station*** Aside from that there is a closure for falcon nesting from January 1st -August 1st so plan to visit late fall and realize its stays warm until late november for climbing. |
