Description:

a great free route to do in a afternoon...you should be able to handle all aspects of Yosemite climbing as this route has it all..chimneys, thin face, thin crack, mostly bomber gear with good belays make this a good route to do in prepping for bigger badder el cap lines..if you have a girlfriend this is the el cap to do with her...If you can bring a 70 meter rope and refrence super topo you can link belay station 1 to 3, 3 to 5, 5 to 7 with a little easy simal climbing, 8 to 10, 11 to 13, for a total of 8 mega pitches. 1st timers can expect a 12 hour day car to car.

5 out of 5 stars nice day

long day

i got lost on a pitch and left a piece

climbed with a partner who would remove his shoes on every pitch

would love to do her again in a more fluid style

i hung on the crux

fun factor, what a subjective question

i consider climbing serious and dangerous
fun is for me watching a video or having sex

climbing is fun after the evening bath

3 out of 5 stars :)

Did 3 times. At the crux be easer if you remember position of small step for left foot.

3 out of 5 stars Not worthy of being called an El Cap route!

The climbing is OK at best. Sure, there are a couple of good pitches but much of this route is slab hiking with vague defining features in the middle & up high.

5 out of 5 stars Nice fall route

This was the perfect fall route--sunny and warm. The climb was wilder and better than I'd ever expected; people always talk it down, but it's actually a solid outing for the grade.

3 out of 5 stars

Partner: Terry Andrews
Comments: 8th El Cap route... if you count it? Simul-climbed in 4 pitches & 4 hours.
