Description:

A historic, if not classic, line up a great section of the wall. This route was Warren Harding's last FA on El Cap, and has been the site of at least two acts of vandalism. Royal Robbins, on the SA, chopped many bolts and dowels, which were later replaced. A few years ago, an escaped lunatic doing a "new route" smashed some of the belay hangers flat so he could belay and haul from hooks instead. Someone might have already repaired the hangers by now. If in doubt, contact ASCA and bring some new bolts and hangers.

4 out of 5 stars A beautiful route, super classic

A route I'd climb again and I'm not much for repeating El Cap routes!
