We did the first three pitches of Flatus. It continues for several more--these did not appear to have been climbed recently. First pitch right and left variation. We did right. Bouldery start to easy OW. One stiff hand crack move at corner. Follow low angle hand crack to large ledge with wrapped boulder belay anchor. 5.8 2. Climb overhanging hand to fist to OW. This pitch is very nice, requiring good fist technique. End on another large ledge with slinged boulders. 3. Above is a nasty looking chimney. Rated 5.7 in my Reed's guide, it felt a few grades harder. Above this is a large break in the cliff. We intended to climb "Tooth or Consequences." The upper part of this crack looks clean and interesting, the lower part was very dirty and wet--unclimbable when starting after 5PM.

Descent Options:

Rappel from tree over chimney, down to boulder belays.
