About Short Circuit Boulder:
| Discovered by W. Braun, who brought R. Kauk there for the first ascent, the Short Circuit crack (5.11d) is located on a huge split boulder on a friendly "party island" at the edge of the Merced River in back of the El Portal Entrance Station below Arch Rock. There is also a bolted sport route here, "666" (5.12c), as well as an A4 knife blade /RURP aid crack up the backside. |
