About Boulder Canyon - Sport Park:
| In some places chipped, others over bolted, all coated in guano and overgraded, the Sport Park is a good place to stroke an ego or get the afterwork burn without really feeling like you've climbed. Be on the lookout for clipping stances where you can reach three bolts on the route you are on, and two on the surrounding routes. Of note are the 5.8 bolted crack (it can be done safely with two fewer cams than there are bolts) and the old offwidth put up by Pat Ament and Jim Erickson that still eludes ascents by the park regulars. (I barely resisted the urge to turn the Sport Park into an indoor gym, but there aren't any bolted on holds... yet) |
