Description:

Classic unprotected route starting on the platform between Whale's Tail and Redgarden Wall. Climb a scary face to a horizontal seam about 40 feet up, then up and right to a hanging belay beheath a small roof. Head out right around the roof and then up left to a sling belay. Move up right to a bolt and then over an easy but scary roof to a lower angled face with a seam leading up to another roof. Pull the overhang at a crack and ascend it to the easy top out slab, and start breathing again.

5 out of 5 stars Exciting

Great route, definitely R rated. A rack of nuts and a few cams are ask it takes and most gear will stay on the harness. Second better be on their hand as well unless they want to take a really scary swing.

5 out of 5 stars Ascent Note

Just did the first pitch. The weather turned to shit and had to bail. Climbed again on 8-24-05. This time made it to the top. Tricky traverse on pitch 2.
