About Flatirons - Gregory Amphitheatre:
| This is a nice cragging area, with some easy well protected trad routes and a few sport routes. This area also has one of the shortest approaches in the Flatirons, so its great for an afternoon session. |
| Nearest town or city: | Boulder |
| Directions: | Take Baseline Road west from town and drive past Chatauqua Park. Look for a "Fire Danger" sign just as the road veers right to head up Flagstaff Mountain. Take the smaller road to the left across a bridge and continue to the trailhead cul-de-sac parking area. The Ampitheater Trail departs the lot to the south and crosses a foot bridge almost immediately. After about 10 minutes of walking, a Climber Access trail sign denotes the Amphitheater as well as trails to the anchor access. There is a daily use fee and you will get a ticket if you don't pay it. |
