Seal Rock
About Seal Rock:
| Slabby on one side, waaaay overhung on the other. The rappel from the top is a mega classic, and climbing the Seal is worth it just for that. Southwest of NCAR is a distinctivly warped L-shaped rock. That is the Seal. Take the Mesa Trail (if memory serves). Where it splits with the Bear Canyon trail and go left. After about 50 yards, you'll find a vague turn off leading to a good trail (apparently the Harmon Cave trail). Follow this to the base of the Seal. |
