Description:

A worthwhile route on the lower part of Higher Wire, or "Left Wire" in Mabe's guidebook. Much better (and steeper!) than it looks from the ground. Counting from the right, this is the 1st route on the wall. Start just uphill of Night Stick at some broken ledges just left of a prominent corner, near a dead tree. Scramble up to the first clip, then work up a vertical face and mostly big holds. The route wanders from side to side a bit. The angle gradually steepens, and the crux comes at the last bolt, on overhanging, pumpy climbing. Moving right here is a little easier than climbing directly past the bolts.
