About Keyhole Rock:
Located a few hundred meters south of Montezuma's Tower by way of a climber's access trail. This area, while bolted, is primarily top-roped due to the few bolts and rough condition of them. There are some huge eye bolts to TR from and a couple trees.
**NOTE: The rangers don't like you top-roping off of the trees, so climber beware. The rock quality is decent, better on the south side. This area is actually a little-known spot hidden from the prying eyes of most of the Gapers and unknowing climbers, and therefore receives little traffic (especially on the lower segment). Shaded lower segment is just what you need on a burning hot summer afternoon.
Keyhole rock is divided up into two segments, an upper and lower segment. The lower is the one that you'll top-rope from, the upper will have to be led. There is a small third tier, but is seldom climbed and contains only three routes.
