About Wildcat Point Cliff (Monarch Wall):

WARNING: This area is currently illegal to climb and can result in a hefty fine in excess of $900.

Some moderate sized climbs paralleling Monarch Blvd. Near Rock Canyon High School. Conglomerate, same rock as Castlewood Canyon. No bolts...this could change, sparse natural anchors in some areas, plentiful in others. Of course the good anchors are over the crappy climbs and the good climbs have no anchors. A mix of rock protection and slung boulders, or ~25' reach to some trees works best here. Anything from 5.0 to 5.impossible here.
Nearest town or city: Highlands Ranch
Directions: From wherever you are...find a way to hit Monarch Blvd. on the SE side of the rock wall there is a dirt parking lot. There's a trail head here, there are 2 trails, one hugs Monarch, the other goes away from it, the split off is at the second gate. Take the trail that strays away from the road, and it will lead to the top of the wall, about a mile walk.

Access Issues: Climbing here is currently not allowed, bouldering is easy enough to get away with, I have roped in and made some climbs, never had any issues. But were currently working with Access Fund and the HRCA to get it opened. Their issues seem to be with wildlife, and apparently "cave paintings" which do not exist...? If anyone would like to help please let us know. Until then "dont climb it". If you wanted to get in touch to help open this, PM ineed2fly
