Make your way through the heinous willows from the Guanella Pass parking lot. More than likely no one else will have climbed it since the last snowfall, so have a map and compass handy and follown ridgelines as much as possible to avoid any possible avy danger. I did most of the route in a whiteout that finally cleared near the summit, and was able to navigate just fine with map, compass, and altimeter. The final ridge leading to the summit is steep and usually fairly bare, but you will want snowshoes on the lower sections.
Lots of good glissading is possible on the descent, and the view of Evans and Bierstadt from the summit is stunning. A step up from Bierstadt in terms of route finding difficulty, but no harder physically or technically.
