This is probably the most popular winter 14er climb in Colorado. Drive a mileor so up Blue Lakes road to a parking lot on the right side of the road(this is well before getting to the lakes). Follow the trail through the woods to the gentle ridge. which is followed to the summit. If the trail is covered by snow and there are no tracks, just kind of bushwhack up to the ridge. Very little avalanche danger(though people have died in avalanches on Quandary so care is needed) and a straightforward route make for a good introduction to winter mountaineering.
