About Mt. Evans:
| Mt Evans is a huge complex mountain, and the nearest 14er to Denver. The easiest route is a paved road that tourists manage to send every day - kind of sad because this peak is not far behind Longs Peak in quantity of technical climbing. On the other hand, the road makes for trivial approaches and descents - think sport alpine climbing. |

| Directions: | Most of the technical routes are above Summit Lake on the Mt Evans Road. The Sawtooth is accessed via Guanella Pass above Georgetown. |
