About Saber:

The Saber is the skyscraper-like tower just right of the Petite Grepon, in the Cathedral Spires group. It has routes that are steeper, harder, and not nearly as popular as the South Face of the Petite Grepon. The routes end at the summit of the South Buttress of the Saber. From here, one can continue up the jagged 5.4 ridge for several pitches to the true summit of the Saber. Downclimb off the back (easy 5th class), then contour east around the Saber and the Foil to a large gully which leads back to the base. Or, rap from the summit of the South Buttress. Six double-rope raps to the east, all from nests of slings, lead back to a short gully scramble to the base of the routes.
