About Grizzly Peak:

13,988' Grizzly Peak is the highest 13er in Colorado, and is considerably more rugged than most Sawatch range peaks. It has a moderate scramble, or a classic steep snow couloir route.

From Independence Pass about 9 miles east of Aspen, head south on the Lincoln Campground 4WD road. The trailhead for the couloir route is 6 miles near Grizzly Reservoir.
