Description:
Cheap Date follows an arching crack just to the left of the Cave Exit on the Book. This is one of the most beautiful pitches on the Book. About 20' below the cave, follow a series of thin cracks (9) to a horizontal crack. Make a short traverse across the horizontal crack and slot into a thin, arching layback crack. Follow the crack, taking the left branch when it splits (the right is thin 11). The business starts as the crack starts to arch. Good locks when allow you to make gear placements from tenuous stances. As the crack reorients itself vertically, the tendency to barndoor will be come significant as the face and the crack become quite thin. The route tops out above on Fang Ledge. Follow Outlander for another superb pitch of 10.Descent Options:
Follow the descent chimneys to the east off of the Book.

Wow - one hell of a pitch and a great way to finish any route on the book (although doing the Cave exit once should be required!). No hard moves - both my wife and I thought it was easier than the climbing on pitches 1+2 of Loose Ends.
