Fun and moderate route up an incredible feature tucked away in the heart of RMNP. This route receives less traffic than the South face of Petit, but is of just as high quality. It offers a very reasonable alternative if southface of petit is swarming. The crux pitch is a thin left facing corner (5.8+) about that starts right off of the big ledge about halfway up. The real crux is the route finding though. When in doubt head up. The upper portion of the route veers right towards the true summit (get the Gillet guidebood for an excellent topo). Good protection on generally good rock. Make single or double rope rappels from summit down East face using fixed gear and sling flakes (kinda sketchy, but solid) and continue scrambling down until you reach base.
