About Long's Peak Area:
Longs Peak is a spectacular alpine setting for rock and ice adventures. Mid-summer through about October can provide stellar rock climbing on the Diamond (NE Face). While October through December may offer ice and mixed to those who like sucking O's at 12,000 to 14,000 feet. Stettners Ledges on the lower east face is spectacular and any number of harder routes exist on the lower and upper sections. Falling ice, rock and quickly changing weather will add a little spice. |
