About Sunshine Dome Massif:

The second largest rock in the Platte and has mixed crack and face climbs. Long approach keeps the crowds down.
Nearest town or city: Lake George
Directions: Follow directions to Helen's Dome but continue past Goose Creek Campground another 3 miles to a road on the left through a fence. Go about 3/4 of a mile up this road, take the left fork and another 1/2 mile will take you to an uphill right turn. Drive to the top of the ridge and you will see a LOT of rock in front of you. Park and walk north off the ridge. Halfway up the other side of the valey traverse northish and this will bring you to the Renaissance Slabs. A climb on this will bring you to the base of Sunshine Dome. You must boulder hop or bushwhack to get to the base of the Dome without climbing the slab and it probably is not any faster.
