About 16Z- Mexico Mines:

Outstanding desert bouldering on fairly high quality sandstone. A full range of types of climbing, from thin slabs and faces on perfect rock, to pocketed overhangs and crazy hueco features. Plenty of first ascents still to be done. Excellent diversion from the roped climbing at 16Z or as a trip unto itself. Some of the boulders can be hard to find, but exploring is half the fun.
Nearest town or city: Naturita
Directions: Take Hwy 141 to just north of mile marker 44 and turn onto U29W across from the Basin store. Stay on this road for 12.5 miles, avoiding turning at any obscure intersections. At 12.5 miles, the road forks (a BLM sign marks the split). Make sure to take the left fork heading for Radium Mountain. At just over 15 miles, you will come to a four way intersection. Make a left onto 16Z. (A sign may or may not be there) There is good bouldering all along the road for the next mile. The main area is 7/10 of a mile from the intersection of U29W and 16Z.
