About The Obvious Wall:

The eastern side of the North end of the North Lake Walls... in other words, the one that most stands out when you are driving by on Highway 12. Coming from Monument Lake (N on Rte 12), turn left on the road to Purgatoire Campground, just before reaching the wall. Park at the first pullout beyond the cattle guard or continue up the road for about another two hundred yards and park in the larger day-use lot to the right. Follow the faint track across the field before joining the much clearer trail switchbacking up the back of the ridge to the rocks.
