Description:

Treasure Falls is the classic pitch of Southern Colorado and probably one of the best natural ice routes in the state. 140' of 4 to 5- ice, visible and a five minute walk from the roadside with little avalanche danger. Usually forms to climbable shape by the beginning of January. It often forms a bubble on top, with ice as thin as 1/2 an inch for several feet and much running water underneath. Leaders beware!
