About Witches Canyon:
| Basically part of the whole Penitente climbing scene. Generally shorter routes (I know, Penitente routes are pretty short) in the four to 5 bolt range. Many high quality routes exist none the less. |
| Nearest town or city: | La Garita |
| Directions: | Pass the Penitente turn off and continue down the dirt road heading towards Del Norte. Watch for dirt roads heading West. It's around a half mile past the Penitente turn off. You'll see a sign marking for Witches Canyon. Take the dirt road until you get to the fork in the road. Take the left fork down into the canyon and park at the area provided. Start hiking into the Canyon. The parking is right by the tombstone rock as a reference. |
