Description:
This route is actually not in Devils Canyon. Take the K1 trail off the main trail heading into Devils Canyon. If you stay left (east) you'll walk directly to the side of it. Look up and right, it looks like a mini- Mexican Hat. Mantle, then lasso, clip two bolts then summit. There isn't an anchor on top, but if you figured out how to climb this thing, you'll know how to get off. Don't blow a full climbing day on this route. Save this climb for one of those lazy beer drinking days. I was going to drill a simple bolt ladder up the thing, but I thought that the desert doesn't need another boring bolt ladder. So I came up with another way to get up it. Anyhow, I had a damn good time doing it. -tda p.s. I didn't haul a construction ladder up there. Enjoy! and bring a cooler.
