About Rattlesnake Mountain:

A good number of single pitch leads, as well as some great bouldering and top roping is available here at Rattlesnake.
Nearest town or city: Farmington
Directions: All the crags on Rattlesnake Mountin are along the Metacomet Trail. This trail can be accesed from along route 6 or from Pinnacle Rock. To access from Pinnacle Rock, find the closed off dirt parking lot across from the pond. At the end of this lot there is an old dirt road. Follow this road until it ends at the ridge line until you hit the blue blazed train. this is the metacomet. turne left and hike for about a mile/25 minutes. the first crag you hit is Rattlesnake Rock followed by Will Waren's Den, Green wall and Pourcupine Hole (there is about a five minute hike between each of these) acess from rout six is at the top of the hill across from the Metacomet Trail sign and near the tv towers. take an imediat right and follow the trail. (note:hikeing up the paved road is tresspassing) eventually you will hit a dirt road that leads to a field. at the yar end of the field you pick up the Metacomet and will hit the crags startting with Pourcupine Hole
