About Bennet's Pond (Ridgefield):

Bennet's Pond is part of the Connecticut State Park System. Together with Hemlock Hills and Wooster Mountain, it forms one of the largest nature preserves in the Southwest portion of the state. Glacial activity has left numerous erratic boulders and small cliffs throughout the area. While these boulders require a short hike, the surroundings are worth it. I have only listed my three favorite boulders, but there are many smaller ones with some excellent problems on them all along the rocky hillside. Top roping is also possible in a few areas along the Southwestern side of Pine Mountain.
Approach: Take route 7 to Bennett's Farm Road. About a half mile up the road, just over the crest of the hill, there will be a parking area on your right and a sign for the park entrance. The fastest way to access the boulders is to take the broad trail to your left when you are facing the park information bulletin. Take this green loop trail to a the white trail and then from there consult the map that I attached. Stick to the trails until you can either see the boulders or you know that you're close. Short cuts from boulder to boulder will not help you here, and will also create more problems for the Ridgefield Open Space Association, which has worked dilligently over the years establishing these trails and guaranteeing public access.
