About Rocktown:

This is a premier sandstone bouldering spot for Tennessee and Georgia. Because of recent publicity it has attracted climbers on extended road trips from all over the country. Camping is free (a 14 day limit is enforced). A long drive in on a dirt road deters most rednecks and drunks. The road is pretty long and rough but most cars should be able to make it up. But be sure to stock up on supplies before headed up because it's a long, bumpy ride back into town. Showers: Free available at LaFayette Recreation Center located on S. Main St. GPS coordinates are for the parking lot, follow the trail to Rocktown, approx. 1 mile. |
