I don't think traversing the crack to the T-Rex side should give this +3 on V-scale (comparing to Southpaw Direct which shares the same opening sequence). The route is more about knowing where the good hand holds are as large parts of the wall are painted white from chalk stains. Holds are positive, fairly close together, and support multiple footwork options. No crash pad necessary.
