Bob Loomis--July 2009
Rock (Sport) (Toprope)
Currently a top rope. Hope to add bolts or another climber will add bolts to protect this overhangning face route.
Starts with face and liebacking moves off a seam (right leaning) about a meter to the left of "Words of the Prophet." The route stays about a meter to two meters to the left of "Words of the Prophet" taking the overhanging and longest line on the right side of the crag to the top. The upper part is charcterized by long reaches to positive face holds and balancing long reaches. Tops out to the left with some balancing left leaning liebacking. No need to backstep or touch off on the right left side of the crag. Needs a few more ascents to find a consensus grade. The route's name is intended to honor the courage and sacrafice of a somewhat famous US Air Force crew on a US bomber in the 8th Air Force in WW II.
